Hands-on Stations

As an expansion of our Science Fair & Engineering Expo, students (and a parent) may sign up to run a "hands-on station." In an effort to make science & engineering come alive and provide demonstrations for attendees, we are asking for volunteers to run hands-on activities on Thursday, March 12 from 6:15-8:15, during the evening open house of the Science Fair & Engineering Expo. Space is limited, so sign up quickly to get your spot!
- Students may choose this option in place of, or in addition to, the traditional project board.
- Students must be accompanied by a parent for the duration of the time signed up for the station.
-
Parents and students who sign up are also asked to supply the necessary materials for making sure the station can operate. If you need some assistance in gathering supplies, please contact Mr. Radcliff (jradcliff@cbsd.org) or Mr. McComsey (bmccomsey@cbsd.org) and we'll try to help you acquire what you need. We may have some materials available at school.
- Students who sign up should be familiar with the science/engineering behind the activity and be able to explain to visitors what is happening and why.
How to sign up for a "Create Your Own" Station
Step 1: If you would like to submit your own idea for a science station, please email Mr. Radcliff (Jradcliff@cbsd.org) or Mr. McComsey (bmccomsey@cbsd.org) with your idea and, if approved, we will add it to the list.
Step 2: Have fun preparing and running your station!
If you have any questions or need help getting supplies, please contact Mr. Radcliff (jradcliff@cbsd.org) or Mr. McComsey (bmccomsey@cbsd.org)
